Acts 13:2 (NASB)While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Dear Church Family,
So excited to begin this 40 days of fasting and praying with you. As individuals, families, and as a church it is our hope to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus emphasizes the importance of unity in the church and so we are taking this time to connect with Him, one another, and the world by a committed time of reading through a gospel, meditating on the Word, prayer, fasting, reaching out to a hurting world, and memorizing Scripture. William Carey once said “Attempt great thing for God, expect great things from God.”I am praying that this is a time when God heals the sick, delivers those from the bondage of addiction, makes needed financial provisions, brings workers to the church, increases the harvest, gives us more and more opportunities to reach a hurting world, but that most of all He is glorified and honored by our passionate pursuit of Him!. So in this time we want to see God …His person, His power, His plan. We desire to see Him move in us as individuals, as families, and as a church called to teach the word, love like Jesus, and change the world. We will be praying for fresh vision, and for God’s provision to go wherever He calls us , and to do whatever he calls us to do.
Love in Christ,
1 Timothy 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men
